Description
Melanzana means eggplant in Italian. This fig is very sweet with a nice “brown sugar” flavour. The skin can be a purple-blue colour . Said to be grown to a limited extent only in southern Italy, while in France it is found along the Riviera. This variety was grown by Italian residents of Washington, D.C.
