This fig had a dark exterior with a beautiful jammy interior.
Beautiful medium sized fig with outstanding flavour. Violet skin and a rich magenta flesh. Its rich, sweet, even buttery flavour, makes it a much sought after fig, excellent for fresh and dried use. Often confused with Mission and Violette de Bordeaux figs though the leaves and the flavour are different. Unlike many other figs it resists splitting and souring.
